Digital Media Coordinator

Developing creative visual elements for campaigns, online updates and products/services delivered by Discover Islam.

Overview

Working closely with the Campaign Manager, Centre Coordinator and Copywriter to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfil our strategic goals.

Producing sketches or ‘storyboards’ to communicate ideas to intended audiences.

Briefing other members of the team.

Commissioning photographers, artists or content producers to work on projects.

Social media Manager

Develop and implement social media strategy developing brand awareness, generating traffic and encouraging visits to the centre.

Overview

Manage social Media marketing campaigns curating relevant content to reach intended audiences.

Write editorial content

Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way.

Conduct online advocacy and open stream for community partnerships.

Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.

Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, avatar, thumbnails, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog).

Compile report for management showing results.

Copywriter

Providing verbal or written copy for online content, print materials and promotional activities.

Overview

Liaising with wider team and interpreting project/campaign briefs.

Developing creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the art director.

Presenting ideas to colleagues and clients.

Writing clear, persuasive, original copy.

Updating digital media and proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar.

Amending, revising or redeveloping campaigns or projects in response to feedback from the team.

Overseeing campaigns through the production stage to completion.

Proofreader

As a charity we have regular information published in a variety of channels ranging from monthly newsletters to media press releases. You will play a vital role in ensuring the standard of our external communication is of a high standard.

Review all communication material published for external use. This will include:

Campaign Manager

Responsible for identifying, designing, planning, testing, delivering, monitoring and enhancing campaigns in line with our objectives.

Overview

Translating strategic directives into practical community campaigns which are duly delivered.

Initiating and coordinating campaign meetings and documenting agreed outputs.

Identifying and coordinating all relevant internal resources that need to participate or contribute to the planning, specification, creation or delivery of the campaign.

Liaising with partners and key stakeholders.

Ensure that the total potential scope of work is identified through the campaign planning process and factored into campaign estimates – including strategic planning, user experience, mobile, search marketing, campaign reporting and analysis and any relevant post live services.
