As we see the start of another academic year, and with children back at school, Discover Islam Luton will be hosting a number of workshops and lessons at the Centre throughout September on the topic of Hajj.
We kicked off the year with a visit from 21 local Islamic school students, on Saturday 8th September. The children were invited to take part in an interactive lesson, learning about the significance and rituals of the Hajj pilgrimage. This was followed by a quiz, involving the students splitting in to smaller teams and searching the Centre for information to answer a series of questions set out by our centre managers, with the winning team awarded individual prizes.
Team ‘Zamzam’ described the experience to be “very interactive, delivered with enthusiasm and (they) learnt a lot of interesting information”.
If you would like to book a workshop to be delivered at our centre, or at your school, please feel free to contact us here.
