SUPPORTING NEW MUSLIMS

Like every year, we have continued to support new Muslims and those requiring support to learn, grow and flourish. We have delivered and supported a range of activities from the centre and in the community as illustrated in this chart.

I became Muslim last year and was quite confused by a range of opinions and information. I asked Allah for guidance and found the Discover Islam through a google search.

Although I was apprehensive and anxious, I was made to feel like part of the family by the team. After studying the beliefs, I have now registered on a 2 year programme of learning.

The work of the centre is amazing and I pray Allah rewards the brothers and sisters that run it.

Yvonne is a single mother who has been to the centre in the past, she came in to say thank you for the support we gave her and her family in their time of need by providing them with emergency food and foodbank vouchers. She also said thank you for the kind words and reminder I gave her about God providing and to never lose hope. She explained that it was these words which helped her get through tough times and she was grateful for all the support from Discover Islam.
